GUNDAM EVOLUTION RECEIVES SEASON 3 IGNITION UPDATE NEXT WEEK

The latest Gundam Evolution Hyper Update is a mid-Season 3 update for Ignition. It features a new playable Mobile Suit, Unit XXG-01H2 Gundam Heavy Arms Custom. This is the version of the Heavyarms Gundam Mobile Suit Unit that appeared in Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz. So now fans can use the movie version of Heavyarms with its iconic updated design, with double gatling guns. Heavyarms can also provide ample cover fire and has an over-the-top arsenal.

Bandai Namco Europe will reveal more details on the Season 3 Ignition update in the upcoming Mission Briefing scheduled for March 4 at 6:00 GMT. The new gameplay footage shows off Heavyarms in action, utilizing its double gatling guns and some of its acrobatic maneuvering, similar to Trowa Barton. In the anime series, Trowa Barton doubles as a circus performer, acrobat, and clown.

Barton would also have his Mobile Suits mimic his acrobatic maneuvers in the show, so it’s good to see the video game kept that aspect of Heavyarms. The Heavyarms Custom’s G-Maneuver & Skill for the game is the Hatch Full Open (Barrage), where it appears the Heavyarms unleashes its full arsenal of projectiles on unsuspecting opponents.

Gundam Evolution is a free-to-play team-based first-person shooter. It features 6v6 PvP combat and playable mobile suits from across the Gundam Universe. Players can experience three objective-based game modes, including Point Capture, Domination, and Destruction. Players will have to face a unique set of challenges requiring their teams to craft and execute formidable offensive and defensive strategies to emerge victorious.

The footage for the new update looks pretty impressive so far. It will be interesting to see what other features are added to Season 3 for the upcoming content update. The way fans can mix and match up different Mobile Suits from across various Gundam series and shows is very exciting. It’s like a video game version of Gundam Build Fighters.

The base game features some of the most iconic Mobile suits in the franchise. The starting roster includes 12 units, such as the classic RX-78-2 GUNDAM, the iconic ASW-G-08 GUNDAM BARBATOS, and more. Players can unlock mobile suits by accumulating Capital Points in-game through gameplay. Or, they can use EVO Coins, which are available for real-world purchase.
