The film very much feels like a parallel mirroring of Harrison Ford’s life. While he may be getting older and saying goodbye to certain characters, it by no means means Ford should ever be counted out. The trailer opens with a shot of a quiet living room, a bit messy, and slowly zooms in building the excitement as we see Harrison Ford reprising his role as the iconic adventurer… taking a nap. The trailer then jumps with “Sympathy for the Devil” by Thr Rolling Stones kicking in and awakening Indiana Jones. This looks to be Indy’s last day on the job as he announces his retirement. But little does he know his last assignment is going to require him to be out of office.

The trailer also gives us a taste of the film’s action sequences, and they look to be as thrilling and heart-pumping as ever. There are car chases, explosions, and of course, plenty of hand-to-hand combat. The filmmakers have promised that the stunts in this movie will be bigger and more impressive than anything we’ve seen before in the Indiana Jones franchise, and the trailer certainly seems to back that up.

Perhaps most exciting of all is that Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny appear to be bringing some chronological traversing. We see glimpses of previous events with current characters, and there’s even a shot of Indiana Jones and the boulder! It’s a reminder of just how imaginative and inventive the Indiana Jones films can be, and it’s sure to thrill fans of the franchise.
