The Gag Reel, and Deleted Extended Scenes are great. If you enjoy comedy the Gag Reel shows how hard it really is to work in comedy. Not only do you have to land the jokes, but not laugh at them. It’s personally always been one of my favorite features. The Deleted and Extended Scenes make you wonder why they weren’t included. Or at least provide an option to play the film with them included.
The other bonus features give great behind-the-scenes looks and stories. If you’re into that, you’ll love the features. The only downside is the lack of a commentary track. But honestly with the depth features like “From Dice to Dragons: Honoring the Lore” and “Broadswords, Battle-axes & Badass Brawls,” you do get the technical and behind-the-scenes content you’re looking for.
Is It Critical For The Collection?
If you want more than just the movie, then Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is a must-own on home media. If you’re a physical collector, I would push for the Steelbook. As it does add a little more flare to the collection, and also the SteelBook comes with the 4K and Blu-Ray edition, whereas the 4K version is just the 4K version. I personally like when it comes with multiple versions, for no real reason other than it feels like I’m getting more than what I pay for.
