Spider-Man fans across the United States are in for a treat as the inaugural national tour of “Spider-Man™: Into the Spider-Verse Live in Concert” is set to launch on August 27. This unique experience will give audiences in over 60 cities a whole new way to enjoy the beloved Academy Award-winning film from Sony Pictures Animation. Accompanied by a live orchestra, band, and turntables with a scratch DJ, the tour will bring the film’s remarkable soundtrack to life.
Adding to the excitement, The Broadway Sinfonietta, an all-women and majority women-of-color orchestra, will join the tour, led by conductor Emily Marshall. Following a sold-out world premiere in Brooklyn, this concert tour will weave its way through the U.S., offering fans a chance to immerse themselves in the Spider-Verse like never before.
The film’s incredible music score, composed by the renowned Daniel Pemberton, will take center stage during the live concert. Pemberton, known for his work on various films, expressed his excitement about bringing the complex and technically impressive score to a live setting. The hip-hop infused soundtrack also features contributions from industry greats such as Post Malone, Lil Wayne, Jaden Smith, and Nicki Minaj, further enhancing the heroism and resilience portrayed in the film.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduces audiences to the young Miles Morales, a Brooklyn teen who gains Spider-Man-like powers after being bitten by a radioactive spider. The film, directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman, and produced by a talented team including Avi Arad and Amy Pascal, received critical acclaim for its groundbreaking visual style, engaging characters, captivating story, impressive voice acting, and memorable soundtrack.
