DigiFes 2023 is fast approaching and will celebrate the upcoming release of Digimon Adventures 02: The Beginning. The DigiFes event coming in July will feature a new key visual of the 2nd Generation of DigiDestined as adults in the new installment featuring the six main characters, their Digimon partners, and new characters. The event will include the Japanese cast members of the new movie along with highlighted performances and experiences for the attendees this year.
DigiFes is a Digimon event held each year to celebrate the franchise for fans, which also announces the latest content coming soon. DigiFes 2022 previously celebrated the 20th anniversary of Digimon Frontier and the 1st anniversary of Digimon Partners, which was also a live-streamed event. The main announcement from the event last year revealed Digimon Adventures 02: The Beginning and gave fans the first look at the 02 Characters as adults. The new movie takes place after the events of Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, which continues the original story that links to the first two anime series and the 8 Digimon Tri movies.
DigiFes 2023 & Key Visual for Digimon Adventures 02: The Beginning
The upcoming DigiFes 2023 will feature the Japanese cast of Digimon Adventure 02 as they return for the upcoming movie, Digimon Adventures 02: The Beginning. The event revealed by Digimon Partners will be held in Japan on the last Sunday of July as fans gather at the Shinagawa Prince Stellar Ball in Tokyo. Along with various events for attendees to enjoy such as performances from the cast of the movie and fireworks, there will also be live music that features stage performances from Ayumi Miyazaki, AiM, and Michihiko as they return the iconic music from the Digimon Adventure 02 series.

The poster for the event includes all 5 DigiDestined and their partner Digimon at the age they will be during the new movie. A great selection of merchandise for the event has also been revealed as seen worn by the characters including Digitama (Digiegg) themed items. The merchandise includes a DigiFes 2023 T-shirt featuring the incredible poster with the 02 DigiDestined, a Digitama-printed Aloha Shirt, Digitama-printed Muffler Towel, and even a D-3 Type Penlight. These are limited items that will only be available while stocks last, and a pre-sale will begin on July 3 till July 10 before the event.
This is a big event for Digimon fans as releases could be announced at the latest event since the upcoming movie was revealed last year. Fans are extremely excited for the next installment that follows on from Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna and will finally put the 2nd generation of DigiDestined in the spotlight. The movie will be released this year in Japan but there are still announcements to be made regarding the release to other regions and for the English Dub. These items for the attendees will be highly desired and it will be amazing to see what the event will gift fans of the Digimon series.
DigiFes 2023 will be held at the Shinagawa Prince Stellar Ball in Tokyo, Japan on July 30. The event will celebrate the upcoming movie, Digimon Adventures 02: The Beginning, which will be released in Japanese Theatres on October 27, 2023. More announcements regarding global releases are expected closer to the theatrical release for Japan.
