‘Psycho-Pass: Providence’: Crunchyroll Releases New English Dub Trailer For The Upcoming 2023 Movie

Crunchyroll has released the Psycho-Pass: Providence English Dub trailer for the upcoming movie. The release date for the UK and Ireland was also revealed.

PSYCHO-PASS: Providence releases the new English dub trailer for Crunchyroll’s upcoming anime movie coming this August. The new release continues the iconic sci-fi action thriller anime and will be available in various regions including dates revealed for cinemas in US, UK, and Ireland. The new dub will be available for fans that have been enjoying the anime series in English, allowing viewers to watch the next installment in their desired language. The cinematic release will feature the English voice-acting cast including Kate Oxley and Robert McCollum. 

PSYCHO-PASS: Providence is the latest anime sci-fi crime movie produced by Production I. G, which is directed by Naoyoshi Shiotani. There are currently 3 seasons of the anime series available, with three movies currently out that extend the story. This includes Psycho-Pass: Sinners Of The System as it consists of three short films that are referred to as a ‘Case’ in each title. The new movie releasing this year will bridge the story between one of the short movies with the most reason Season of the anime.

PSYCHO-PASS: Providence English Dub Trailer Released 

PSYCHO-PASS was an original anime project for television that began in 2012. Now, after ten years, comes the newest film that will act as the connective tissue between the movie PSYCHO-PASS: Sinners of the System – Case 3: On the Other Side of Love and Hate and Season 3 of the PSYCHO-PASS TV series. The entire story will now finally be told, and fans can catch up on the past PSYCHO-PASS series and films on Crunchyroll.

The franchise revolves around The Sibyl System, an authoritarian system that quantifies the human personality. Sibyl’s analysis dictates every aspect of the citizens’ future. In exchange for Sibyl’s rule, the citizens enjoy a peaceful life. With all manner of mental states and trends being recorded and monitored, the standard by which an individual’s soul is measured is a number that people have come to call the PSYCHO-PASS.

Detectives, wielding guns called Dominators that measure criminal potential, work closely with enforcers who hunt down latent criminals before they can break the law. The young inspector Akane Tsunemori, a part of the Criminal Investigation Department, and her partner, enforcer Shinya Kogami, wrestle with the question of how a fair and perfect society can be upheld and maintained by a system that could possibly be corrupt.

It’s fantastic that fans of the latest release will be able to enjoy the English Dub version of the movie as there are viewers that choose Dub over Subtitles. It’s a shame that fans in the UK and Ireland must wait longer to witness the next installment, but it’s great that new fans will have a chance to catch up with the story so far. The trailer promises a great array of action so no matter which order you watch the franchise, this is a great movie you should enjoy via the big screen experience.  

PSYCHO-PASS: Providence English Dub is coming to UK and Irish Cinemas from August 2, with tickets on sale July 20. The movie will be released in the US on July 14 and will also be available in Japanese with English subtitles.

Film Synopsis:
January 2118. Chief Inspector of the Criminal Investigation Department, Akane Tsunemori, receives a report of an incident on a foreign vessel – the body of Professor Milicia Stronskaya has been discovered. Behind the incident is a group known as the Peacebreakers, a foreign paramilitary organisation and a new outside threat who are targeting the professor’s research papers known as the “Stronskaya Document”.

Reunited with Shinya Kogami, a former fugitive from the Criminal Investigation Department, Akane grapples with a case that quickly escalates beyond their expectations. The Stronskaya Papers could reveal a truth that would shake Japan’s government, and even the Sibyl System, to the core. 

It is in this untold story that the missing link is revealed.
