Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #113 Goes Wild-ly Out of Control
BOOM! Studios, under license by leading toy and game company Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS), revealed a first look at Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #113, the continuation of the DARKEST HOUR event, taking place after the bold and greatly anticipated Reunited, Recharged era of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The superstar creative lineup includes writer Melissa Flores (Power Rangers, The Dead Lucky), artist Simona Di Gianfelice (All New Firefly), colorist Raúl Angulo (Mech Cadet Yu), and letterer Ed Dukeshire (The Woods, Irredeemable) in the continuation of this monumental 12-month event, available in October.

The third chapter of the groundbreaking DARKEST HOUR event continues as the number of corrupted Rangers pouring through the Master Arch becomes overwhelming. But this time they’re taking captives! As Billy seeks answers from the only beings who may be able to provide them, an old ally of Zordon’s may be able to turn the tide… but will it be enough as Dark Specter’s infectious corruption spreads out of control across time and space?

Celebrating 30 continuous years on the air, Power Rangers has become one of the longest-running kids’ live-action series in television history, with more than 900 episodes aired to date. Created by Haim Saban and launched in 1993 with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the series celebrates its 30th year with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Once & Always, an anniversary special streaming exclusively on Netflix. The 30th season, Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, is also available on Netflix for your streaming pleasure.
It’s amazing to see the Dino Charge team already included in the Darkest Hour event, with such dramatic consequences for their involvement. Although the Ranger series debuts over 20 years later, the story took place in another dimension meaning that it can easily be integrated into the story. This was a fantastic and surprising next step, but it’s fantastic to see Melissa Flores bring back the iconic characters in a new way. The Dark Ranger recently featured in the 30th Season, so it will be interesting to see if the Ranger will return for the latest comic event.
