Corey Graves speculates on what type of reaction LA Knight would receive if he does the unthinkable and beats Roman Reigns at WWE Crown Jewel.

Corey Graves on how he thinks fans will feel if LA Knight defeats Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel. The two most popular WWE wrestlers of 2023 are without a doubt Cody Rhodes and Knight.  Both men have climbed up the ranks really quickly and are at the top of the merchandise sales.

Rhodes had his shot at Reigns and his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.  He came up short and wasn’t able to finish the story.  Now it is Knight’s opportunity at Reigns and the championships he just can’t seem to lose.

Knight will face Reigns this Saturday at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.  Dethroning Reigns seems to be one of the hardest things in wrestling to do.  Many men have tried and all have failed, but Knight has a real shot.  He has been the thorn in the side of Reigns lately.

On a recent episode of WWE After The Bell with Corey Graves & Kevin Patrick, Patrick discussed the pressure Knight must feel facing off against such a dominant champion. Graves stated the following:

“Just even you saying that I’m already feeling the pressure that’s going to fall on LA Knight to deliver,. Given what Roman Reigns has been able to carry for year on-year on-year and the weight Gravy and when you’re explaining to people and when you’re talking about you know the pressure starts now when you’re becoming champion.”

LA Knight Has Immense Pressure To Do The Impossible

The pressure is on Knight to do something no one else has been able to do.  However, eventually, Reigns is going to believe he is unbeatable.  He will rest on his laurels and not take his opponent as seriously as he should.  This Saturday just may be the time it comes back to bite him and he will lose his championships.

Graves talked about how he thinks people will react if Knight is able to walk out Saturday as Undisputed WWE Universal champion. Graves continued:

“This LA Knight is on fire. LA Knight, arguably the most popular superstar happening right now. If he manages to do it at Crown Jewel, I don’t think anyone’s going to be disappointed. I don’t think anybody will be upset. I think it would be very, very exciting.

When’s the last time in our business that someone has truly shocked the entire WWE Universe by winning a title that they weren’t supposed to? And I’m sure I could come up with a few examples. I mean, I’m going to throw Lyra [Valkyria] and Becky [Lynch] up there, maybe not on the same scale as Roman versus LA Knight, but I don’t know a lot of people who tuned in NXT last night, Halloween Havoc Night One, and said, ‘I think this is the night, I think Lyra is the one that’s going to do it.'”

Heavy Is The Head That Wears The Crown

Fans have been waiting to see Reigns be dethroned.  It is long overdue.  Many thought it would be at WrestleMania against Rhodes and most fans were pretty upset it didn’t happen.  It just felt right at the time.  However, nothing will solidify Knight’s position on the top of the card more than beating Reigns, especially for the championships.

Reigns has held those titles for too long.  Everyone is ready for him to lose them.  His matches have become boring because, depending on who he is facing, it is a foregone conclusion that he will not lose them on that night.  However, when he does lose them it will open up a world of possibilities.  Those championships could change hands at any given time once he loses them.

Knight has a lot of momentum and he is ready to be champion.  Some fans will be upset that it isn’t Rhodes or Sami Zayn who did it, but if it can’t be them then Knight is a very good option.

Do you think Knight will beat Reigns?  Will you be upset if LA Knight is the one to do it?  Do you think he is ready to be champion?  Is Knight the most over wrestler in WWE right now?  If Reigns retains his championships, when do you think he will lose them, and who will take them?  Let us know if you think Knight would face Rhodes at WrestleMania if he wins or if it would be Rhodes vs. Reigns.
