Besides Cockle voicing Geralt, the series will also feature live-action stars of The Witcher Netflix series, Anya Chalotra and Joey Batey, reprising their respective roles as Yennefer of Vengerberg and Jaskier. Also joining the cast is Christina Wren, who will voice a character familiar to those well-versed in Witcher lore in Essi Daven.

Speaking on the news, Cockle said to Netflix, “I am super excited to announce my return to the world of The Witcher voicing Geralt of Rivia once again.” He added, “I’m thrilled to be able to share this next chapter of the White Wolf’s journey with fans of the Witcher universe. While Cockle is voicing Geralt for this feature, the new animated movie will be set between episodes 5 and 6 of the first season of the Netflix series. So essentially, Cockle is voicing the Henry Cavill version of Geralt. The movie is inspired by Sapkowski’s books in the series and his story, “A Little Sacrifice.”

The animated feature is penned by Mike Ostrowski and Rae Benjamin, and it’s produced by The Witcher series showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. Sapkowskis is serving as a creative consultant for the project.
