TRANSFORMERS and G.I. JOE Come Together in New Trailer for the Energon Universe

Skybound and Image Comics, in collaboration with Hasbro, released a brand-new trailer for this week for its upcoming storylines of the Energon Universe, showcasing new books for the Transformers and G.I. Joe franchises. The upcoming Energon Universe storylines will be featured in the pages of Void Rivals, Transformers, Duke, and Cobra Commander.

In the new trailer, heroes have to embrace their destiny, while Shockwave is out to create his own. Meanwhile, the Decepticons have begun to move, and no one is safe as a result. While the Autobots fight for Earth, human’s own heroes rise to the occasion alongside their greatest rials. This is the showcase of the Energon Universe.

ENERGON UNIVERSE TRAILER BRINGS TOGETHER TRANSFORMERS AND G.I. JOE

The new trailer showcased the books’ impressive artwork, and it even features some classic Transformers theme music. It’s definitely exciting to see Skybound push the upcoming books in this format.

Skybound kicked off the Energon Universe in June 2023 with the appearance of the Transformers character Jetfire in Void Rivals Issue #1 from Robert Kirkman, Lorenzo De Felici, and Mateus Lopes. This was the start of Skybound’s collaboration with Hasbro for their new line of Transformers and G.I. Joe comic books.

The line continued later on starting with Transformers Issue #1 from writer and artist Daniel Warren Johnson and colorist Mike Spicer. It later expanded with the new limited series, Duke Issue #1 from Joshua Williamson and Jordie Bellaire, and Cobra Commander Issue #1 from Williamson, Andrea Milana, and Annalisa Leoni. Skybound is promising more secrets to be revealed and answers to big questions with the comic line moving forward, along with some can’t-miss moments.

Per Skybound, the Energon Universe series has been selling out at the distributor level. Recent fan demand has prompted multiple printings across every issue since the line launched. Upcoming releases for the series include Cobra Commander Issue #2, Duke #2, Transformers #5, and the Void Rivals TP Vol. 1.
