You’ll laugh, you’ll scream because Monsters, Inc. is arriving in Disney Dreamlight Valley in the form of the game’s latest update!

Gameloft has launched the first update of the year for their 2023 life simulation game, Disney Dreamlight Valley. A door to a new Realm has become accessible, bringing in James P. “Sulley” Sullivan and Mike Wazowski, the stars of Pixar’s 2001 animated feature Monsters, Inc. and its 2013 prequel Monsters University. With these new villagers comes an assortment of new Friendship Quests and items, including new skin tones, special eye contacts, and new ear styles.
Players can also purchase the Starlight House Bundle from the Moonstone shop, offering customization items such as furniture and clothing, a House style, and even a Dream Style (alternate costume/skin) for Belle from Beauty and the Beast (1991).
A new limited-time event, or Star Path, begins from the update launch, offering tons of rewards affiliated with the theme. This time, it is the Lovely Monsters Star Path. For those who missed previous Star Paths and their rewards, they can be found again in the Premium Shop for a limited time.
Fan demand additionally brought about significant quality-of-life changes to improve the gameplay experience. Scrooge’s Shop, an in-game store featuring a rotating daily catalog of clothing and furniture, restored the ability to purchase doors. Players can also change their avatar name from the Settings menu following the update’s launch.

But wait, there’s more! When players check their in-game mailbox, they will receive two special items. One is the Dreamlight Armor outfit, and the other is the famous Partners statue from Disneyland.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is available now for the Xbox One/Series X/Series S, PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch, Windows, Steam, Mac App Store, Apple Arcade, and Epic Games Store. The Rift in Time expansion is also available for purchase and download.
