Veteran WWE Superstar Nia Jax recently discussed how important it was to headline WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth. She also discussed the top opponents she wants to face since returning to WWE. Jax has always been a huge threat to everyone on the WWE roster, both to men and women. For almost two years the WWE roster was safe from The Irresistible Force after she was released in November 2021.

However, in September Nia Jax made her return on Raw as she attacked Raquel Rodriguez and Rhea Ripley. Since then she has set her sights on Ripley. She has attacked everyone who has gotten in the way of her goal of taking Ripley’s WWE Women’s World Championship.

Nia Jax first had her shot at Ripley in a Fatal 5-Way match at WWE Crown Jewel. However, she and Rhea Ripley finally met one-on-one in the main event at WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth. On the Hall Of Fame podcast, Jax talked about first learning she and Ripley would main event the event and how important it was to her to put on a great match. Nia Jax stated:

“I didn’t know until I think the night before. I think somebody had sent a card to me and I went, ‘Wait a minute, does this mean that we are on in the main event?’ Not going to lie, it felt like a lot of pressure because you had some pretty stacked Elimination Chambers [matches], and a great tag on the card.”

NIA JAX ON THE PRESSURE OF HEADLING ELIMINATION CHAMBER

The WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth was a very exciting card as just Elimination Chamber matches are pretty exciting in themselves. However, this year’s card was extra exciting because every match on the card could have gone in any direction and was hard to predict. The Men’s Elimination Chamber match saw Drew McIntyre pick up the win and will be facing World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.

Jax had to take a special interest in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match because if she defeated Ripley then Jax would face the winner of that match. The winner of that match was Becky Lynch who Jax has a lot of history. However, Jax had a huge challenge ahead of her in the form of Ripley. Jax talked about the pressure she felt to tell a good story in the match with Ripley. Nia Jax continued:

“I just wanted to put on the best match I possibly could, with a great story. Easy with Rhea Ripley, but wanted to be able to tell a really good story to the fans and hoped that it resonated to them, and it was an honor to be the main event in front of all those people.”

After a very competitive match, Jax was pinned by Ripley. Ripley and Lynch will now face each other at WrestleMania. This leaves the WWE roster open for Jax to seek a new victim.

In the two years since Jax was out of WWE a new crop of wrestlers have popped up. She is looking to have a match with some of those women and some whom she was not able to put her hands on while previously a part of WWE. She names two of the women she wants to have a match with and they include some absolute powerhouses. Jax continued:

“Look at Jade [Cargill]. You just look at her. She looks like she’s molded from clay. She’s incredibly beautiful and strong, and she carries herself so well. I would love to get in the ring with her. I feel like we could make magic. I have never been able to have that singles match with Bianca Belair, and that girl is just top-tier.

“Rhea Ripley is up there as well, but Bianca Belair, she’s somebody I’ve never been able to lock up with one-on-one. I want to be able to showcase that because she’s never faced anybody like Nia Jax. Yes, she is the strongest and she is the EST, but I do believe that the EST and the Irresistible Force could definitely make some magic.”

Nia Jax and Jade Cargill are not unfamiliar with each other. In the Royal Rumble in January, the two women met in the ring. Cargill was able to eliminate Jax, so there may still be some bad blood there. Cargill has only wrestled one match so far in WWE despite being in the WWE since late September. A match against Jax would be a good coming out for her. It would allow her to showcase her power and athleticism. It would also give Jax a chance to face someone who can pick her up and do moves a smaller wrestler would struggle with. All these same things could be said for Belair vs. Jax.

It may even be smart to have a Triple-Threat match between all three women. If WWE is not confident that Cargill is ready and that is why they have not used her, it would take some pressure off her. Fans want to see Cargill vs. Belair, so it would give fans that match. Finally it would give Jax a chance to have a match with two women who could have a great match with her and propel her to the main event if that’s what WWE wants.
