THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER Celebrates Butterbeer Season at Universal Studios Theme Parks

Universal Studios has unveiled Butterbeer Season, coming to Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.

It’s officially Butterbeer Season in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. But if you can’t make it through the secret entrance to Platform 9 ¾, you’ll want to visit Universal Studios before the event ends. For the first time, Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood are celebrating Butterbeer Season, offering fans and guests all-new ways to enjoy the delicious drink within The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The inaugural event began on March 15 and runs through April 30, 2024.

As part of the celebration, park attendees will have the chance to try some limited-time treats at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Orlando. This all looks to be a great way to celebrate The Wizarding World and have fun with some delicious Butterbeer variations as well.

Butterbeer SeasonBrings Changes to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios

Universal’s Butterbeer celebration marks the introduction of Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream counter within The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood. The all-new venue, located in Honeydukes, will feature ten delicious soft-serve ice cream flavors served in a cup or waffle cone, including Butterbeer, Banana, Chocolate, Mint, Orange, Vanilla, Toffee Nut, Granny Smith Apple, Pistachio, and Toffee Apple. Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream counter opens Friday, March 29, 2024.

For the first time, Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood celebrate Butterbeer™ Season, offering fans and guests a chance to enjoy Butterbeer in all-new ways within “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter,™” beginning March 15 and continuing through April 30, 2024.

During Butterbeer season, both Universal locations will roll out tasty new treats, including a popsicle featuring the rich, palate-pleasing Butterbeer flavor. And don’t worry—Universal Studios Hollywood isn’t the only location receiving an exclusive treat, as new Butterbeer caramels will only be available at Universal Orlando Resort. For a limited time, both locations will also have cold and frozen Butterbeer available for purchase in a special collectible silver stein. 

With a flavor reminiscent of butterscotch and shortbread, Butterbeer is a perfectly fine-tuned Wizarding World treat that includes cold, frozen, hot, and non-dairy Butterbeer beverages along with Butterbeer fudge, potted cream, and ice cream.

Additionally, guests will be able to celebrate the season at Hogsmeade located at Universal Islands of Adventures, and Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Orlando. Butterbeer Season is a new, annual celebration of the iconic Harry Potter beverage’s flavor, scent, and look. The celebrations began on March 15 and runs through April 30, 2024, in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. Also, Universal Destinations & Experiences plans to run the season through every March through Early May around the world.
