Universal Studios Hollywood is rolling out the red carpet for a nostalgic celebration, marking the 60th anniversary of its iconic Studio Tour. From April 26 through August 11, 2024, guests are invited to embark on a journey filled with new attractions and reminiscent enhancements, capturing the essence of Hollywood’s golden era and the innovative spirit that has defined the studio over six decades.

Universal Studios Hollywood reissues iconic Glamor Trams as world-renowned Studio Tour celebrates a milestone 60 years with new and nostalgic enhancements, including a unique step off tram and onto a movie set moment, a reimagined Earthquake attraction, return of the Runaway Train and a colossal Jurassic World T. rex dinosaur encounter from April 26 through August 11, 2024.

The festivities will reintroduce the classic red and white Glamor Trams, offering guests a unique opportunity to step off the tram and onto a historic movie set, complete with a meticulously restored vintage Glamor Tram from 1964. This immersive experience is further enriched by photo-worthy backdrops, including a colossal King Kong and the original Jaws shark, inviting guests to share a piece of Hollywood history on social media.

The celebration sees the reimagining of the “Earthquake—The Big One” attraction, a staple of the Studio Tour since 1989. This attraction has been fully renovated to incorporate modern technology and design, offering a contemporary take on the harrowing 8.3 magnitude quake simulation that has thrilled visitors for years.

Guests will be treated to a series of enhancements that blend nostalgia with cutting-edge entertainment. Highlights include a visit to Courthouse Square, famous for its role in the Back to the Future movies, and an encounter with a fearsome Tyrannosaurus rex from Jurassic World, showcasing Universal’s commitment to bringing cinematic fantasies to life.

In collaboration with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the Hollywood Sign Trust, Universal Studios Hollywood is unveiling the first-ever authorized replica of the Hollywood Sign. This addition offers guests an unprecedented opportunity to engage with one of the most recognizable symbols of Hollywood’s storied past, reinforcing the studio’s role in shaping the entertainment landscape.

To complement the experience, Universal Studios Hollywood is introducing a selection of retro-themed food and beverages, along with a 60th-anniversary merchandise collection. From BBQ classics at Hollywood & Dine to nostalgic treats at the City Snack Shop, guests can savor flavors that celebrate the theme park’s rich history. The merchandise collection invites guests to take home a piece of the celebration, featuring items such as a Glamor Tram popcorn bucket and a range of retro-themed souvenirs.
