Jeremy Allen White, the man known for playing Chicago’s greatest chef is not the new face of Willy Wonka but he is the new face of Bruce Springsteen. The Bear star has been cast as the rock-and-roll maestro in 20th Century Studios’ new film based on the non-fiction book Deliver Me From Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska.
David Greenbaum looks to be wasting no time since being appointed head of Disney’s live-action film division and 20th Century Studios. He nabbed the rights to Deliver Me From Nowhere, which the latter will produce and distribute.

Jeremy Allen White Rises
White is a busy actor but his time should not clash with production on The Bear season 4 as that completes filming in June. Audiences first met Jeremy Allen White on Showtime’s critically acclaimed comedy-drama Shameless before falling in love with him on FX’s breakout series The Bear. He’s also known for The Iron Claw, which was praised by critics and audiences alike, The Rental, and Homecoming. Meanwhile, Scott Cooper has written and directed Crazy Hearts, Out of Furnace, Black Mass, Hostiles, and Antlers.
