Fans of the epic sci-fi adventure, Dune, can rejoice as the next chapter of the story, Dune: Part Two, is coming to theaters on November 3, 2023. The highly anticipated film will be directed by award-winning filmmaker Denis Villeneuve, who also directed the 2021 adaptation of Frank Herbert’s novel, which won six Academy Awards.

Dune: Part Two picks up where the previous film left off, continuing the story of Paul Atreides, played by Timothée Chalamet, as he seeks revenge against those who destroyed his family. Joined by his love interest, Chani, and the Fremen, he must prevent a catastrophic future that only he can see.
Denis Villeneuve, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jon Spaihts, also serves as a producer alongside Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Tanya Lapointe, and Patrick McCormick. The film is executive produced by Josh Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Jon Spaihts, Thomas Tull, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, and Kim Herbert, with Kevin J. Anderson serving as a creative consultant.
Villeneuve is collaborating again with his Dune team, including Oscar-winning director of photography Greig Fraser, Oscar-winning production designer Patrice Vermette, Oscar-winning editor Joe Walker, Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor Paul Lambert, and Oscar-nominated costume designer Jacqueline West. The film will also feature a score by the award-winning composer Hans Zimmer.
Dune: Part Two was filmed on location in Budapest, Abu Dhabi, Jordan, and Italy. Fans of the franchise can expect a grand and visually stunning adventure that delves even deeper into the rich mythology of the Dune universe.
