Marvel Studios is on the hunt for two young actors, and it just might mean we’re going to see a young God of Mischief in the new Loki Disney+ series.
A New Orleans-based casting agency released a casting call for an unnamed project. However, based on the agency “working out of an office located in Atlanta” and the following casting descriptions, it’s possible that the call is for the upcoming Disney+ series.
Looking For Loki
Male, 10 years old, British, Open Ethnicity, smart and brave with a sharp wit and life experience beyond his years…RECURRING
Female, 10 years old, British, Caucasian, in tears over a frightening situation, she relies on her intelligence and resilience to find a way out.
There’s nothing here in the breakdowns that confirms or denies anything. However, it’s worth pointing out that the young male role is a recurring role.
There have been rumors that flashbacks could be a significant part of the series. If the show is looking to explore Loki’s childhood and upbringing, something that was hinted at in the MCU films, then the male character could certainly be for a younger version of the trickster.
Loki is a master of illusion who can change his appearance at will, a talent that was used many times throughout his MCU appearances. There’s even more versions of the demigod throughout the comics. In fact, he has been reborn as younger Kid Loki and also as a woman.
Loki is slated to debut on Disney+ in Spring 2021.
