Batwoman is ready to strike again as a new character dons the suit.

With Javicia Leslie stepping up as Ryan Wilder, she will be taking over the role as the mystery of former Batwoman, Kate Kane, disappears after Ruby Rose departs from the show.

Leslie posted a new image of her character in the new poster of Batwoman as she holds up the new cowl her character will be wearing. In the description, she writes: “Heavy is the head that wears the cowl.” Looks like Leslie is getting fans excited to see this and gives a preview on what some of the struggles that Ryan Wilder will face as the new Batwoman.

CW has also sent out the premiere title and the synopsis of the premiere. The title of the premiere is called “Gone But Not Forgotten,” and here is what The CW has sent to describe the premiere.

“Kate’s friends and family hold on to hope that Kate may still be found, a homeless 25-year-old named Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie) stumbles upon Kate’s Batsuit,” it reads. “Focused on no longer being a victim, Ryan takes the suit to use as armor and goes rogue in the streets of Gotham, taking out various members of a new gang called the False Face Society.”

“Meanwhile, both Jacob Kane (Dougray Scott) and Luke Fox (Camrus Johnson) launch searches for Kate, Mary Hamilton (Nicole Kang) grapples with losing yet another family member, Sophie Moore (Meagan Tandy) struggles with things left unsaid to her first love, and Alice (Rachel Skarsten) is furious that someone got to Kate before she could exact her revenge.”

“At the same time,” it continues, “‘Bruce Wayne’ (guest star Warren Christie) returns under the pretense of searching for Kate, but the truth is he wants his suit back and it becomes the clash of imposters as ‘Batwoman’ and ‘Bruce’ square off in the action-packed season premiere.”

It looks like there will a lot of action set to happen during the premiere as we will not only meet Leslie’s Wilder and the mystery of Kane’s disappearance but also we will see villain Hush using the mask of Bruce Wayne going up against the new Batwoman. This new season will definitely be an interesting one as the DC CW shows change up with the ending of Supergirl and Black Lightning, and the arrival of Superman & Lois.
