The cast for Rian Johnson’s Knives Out 2 keeps getting sharper.

Per Deadline, Dave Bautista and Edward Norton have joined returning star Daniel Craig for the sequel to 2019’s surprise hit Knives Out, which also had an impressive, A-list heavy cast that included Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Chris Evans, Ana De Armas, Christopher Plummer, Toni Collette, and more.

The Mystery of Knives Out 2 Continues

Knives Out 2

While the plot for Knives Out 2 remains a mystery, Norton and Bautista joining on bodes well. The former is notoriously picky about which films he attaches himself to, and the latter has stated his dedication to seeking out crowd-pleasing scripts that allow him to cut loose. Given that the first film gave its cast plenty of room to stretch out, I’d imagine this sequel will do the same, as well as a second helping of Daniel Crag’s southern-accented sleuth Benoit Blanc.

Knives Out 2 (and its supposed sequel) will both appear on Netflix following the company’s deal in March 2021 to produce follow-ups. Production is set to start in Greece later this summer. Johnson will once again write and direct, as well as co-produce with his partner Ram Bergman. An official release date is yet to be set, but we know the film will drop sometime in 2022.
