Jeff Hardy has been trending since this week’s RAW when he was involved in trying to get the 24/7 Championship.
On RAW this week Reggie took on Akira Tozawa for the 24/7 Championship. Reggie was able to retain his championship, but after the match Reggie was attacked. A bunch of wrestlers were trying to take his championship. This isn’t anything new for the champion. It is what the championship is designed around hence 24/7 Championship because it must be defended 24/7.

The big news is who was involved in trying to take the championship from Reggie. Drew Gulak, Jaxson Ryker, Shelton Benjamin, Drake Maverick and R-Truth were all trying to get the championship, but Hardy was also there.
The reason this is a big deal is the 24/7 Championship is the lowest level championship and no one can argue with that. Hardy is a former WWE World Champion and has held a long list of other WWE championships. After the match the internet was upset that someone as high level as Hardy was involved in such a low level match. They believed he deserved better than to be used in such a way.
I agree that he is a much better wrestler than to be thrown into a 24/7 Championship match, but it also doesn’t really matter. It is a way for people to get TV time and Hardy was probably at the arena so they might as well use him. If he is only used in 24/7 Championship matches then the internet can through a fit.
Jeff Hardy’s Been Missing From RAW Lately
Jeff Hardy hasn’t been on RAW since Aug. 16 when he lost to Karrion Kross prior to this week. In the last two weeks Hardy has only been working WWE Main Event which I think is so much worse of an insult than a quick appearance in a 24/7 Championship match.

In late July, Jeff Hardy tested positive for COVID which obviously took him out for a little while. This also may have caused WWE to cancel or push back any storylines which featured him. WWE just doesn’t have anything for Hardy at the moment so why not put him in a 24/7 Championship match? Also he may be on WWE Main Event because he may not be at 100 percent yet with his cardio because COVID hurts the lungs. He could be trying to build back up to being able to perform in longer matches on RAW.
After seeing Jeff trending on Twitter his brother, Matt, took to Twitter to share a birthday photo.
Matt was being such a nice brother to try and cheer Jeff up. Nevermind a few years ago he tried to DELETE Jeff Hardy and called him OBSOLETE.
