John Cena’s Peacemaker was one member of The Suicide Squad most fans couldn’t get enough of, so the confirmation of a TV series centering on him sent waves of joy throughout the online community.Â
We now have our first look at his team for said TV show thanks to the official Twitter page and Entertainment Weekly:
Tell Me More, Mr. Peacemaker
The post-credits scene that capped off The Suicide Squad saw Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller assign John Economos and Emilia Harcourt to watch over John Cena’s character as penance for betraying her and helping the Squad defeat Starro and save Corto Maltese.Â

Little is known about the plot for Peacemaker as of this writing, but we do know Cena will be joined by new castmates Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, Chukwudi Iwuji as Clemson Murn, and Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo – along with returning players Steve Agee and Jennifer Holland.Â
Hopefully we can get to know Cena’s brash, bone-crushing bad guy a little more with this series and see how the events of the film impact his bravado and approach to life. Peacemaker will debut in January 2022 exclusively on HBOMax.
