Over the weekend, DC fans were up in arms, plagued with confusion and distress following talks surrounding Andy Muschietti’s The Flash erasing Zack Snyder’s film’s from DCEU’s continuity. The reports indicated a major shift in the Justice League’s roster, replacing Superman with Supergirl and adding Shazam to the League among other things. Interestingly enough, The Flash himself, Ezra Miller had something to say but it doesn’t offer as much clarity as one would think.

Recently, a fan took to Instagram to speak to Ezra about the rumors, here’s what Ezra had to say.

Ezra Miller’s Response to The Flash Eradicating The Snyderverse from DCEU Continuity

“No power or force in any known megaverse would or could ever erase Zack Snyder’s mighty wrkz. You can take that quote. Take that to the bank, to the press, to the schools, to the military, and the other pillar of capitalism I’m forgetting cause of that thing where you try to think of a group of things you always forget one of them.”

People have interpreted that quote to be Miller’s refute of the news, however, I don’t think that’s necessarily the case. Upon rereading the quote it feels more along the lines of him saying Snyder’s movies will always live on in our hearts in his own unique weird way. Then again, we need to face the reality that Ben Affleck isn’t coming back as Batman, and Cavill’s career as Superman is likely over. Don’t hang your heads just yet, there’s still hope. The Flash is having a test screening soon, Warner Bros may make some key changes, depending on how audiences react.

The future of the DCEU is uncertain, I’ll be honest with you, I too am confused. My thoughts are riding a rollercoaster right now, they’re all over the place going through a series of loops. We won’t know for certain until Andy Muschietti’s The Flash arrives in theaters, November 4th.
