Let’s face it, there were many things wrong with the DCEU’s Batman V. Superman movie, not to mention Justice League – but there was some light of hope in them both. One of them was a new actor entering the suit of Lex Luthor, Jesse Eisenberg.
We last saw his take on Lex Luthor in the post-credits scene of Justice League, which suggested how things could move forward for him. Of course, things didn’t continue with this collection of movies, but Eisenberg still seems up to portray the Superman archvillain one more.

Jesse Eisenberg On Returning To The DC Fold
While doing an interview about his new movie Vivarium, he spoke about why the role of Luthor drew him in. He said, “Oh yeah, I would love to [reprise the role] because it’s such a cool character.” He continued on:
“To play a villain in a superhero movie is the fun part. The good guys are fine but the villain is the fun part cause you get to be more flamboyant. The hero usually gets to survive, but the villain has all the funny lines.”
It would be interesting to Eisenberg continue as Lex Luthor in the movies, even as Warner Bros. is trying to redo the DC movie universe. Nothing is set in stone, and who knows what may happen with Henry Cavill and his role as the Man of Steel.
