Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are back in action as the infamous time-traveling Bill and Ted in a newly released still from the beloved franchise’s upcoming third installment, Bill And Ted Face The Music.
The latest film will find our heroes grown up and settled comfortably into middle age, with families of their own, until a surprise visitor from the future warns them that they have exactly one hour and eighteen minutes to write a song that can avert the impending apocalypse and establish world peace. No small task to be sure, but nothing that the Death-defying duo can’t handle.
The new image, which shows Reeves and Winter wearing dashing formal attire and surrounded by musical instruments, is a fun new look at the comedic antics that Bill and Ted will get up to in the film, as they and their daughters (played by Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine) embark on their perilous quest. Can they save the world with the power of music?

BILL AND TED ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME
Director Dean Parisot also revealed some new details about the plot in an interview with Empire, and discussed how Bill and Ted are up against their biggest challenge yet.
“We’ve gone from a homework assignment to saving all space and time. We bypassed all those possible traumas in the middle…They have an hour and 18 minutes. So they’re in trouble. And let’s say that they have to travel all over the place to try and figure it out.”
It definitely sounds like this will be a much more high-stakes adventure than anything we’ve seen from the franchise before, but with Parisot directing and original Bill And Ted creators Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson writing, there’s no doubt that this third film will be just as fun, zany and heartfelt as the first two.
