FanimeCon isn’t happening this year. In a statement on its website, the safety of its con-goers and staff was being worked on behind the scenes and they didn’t know how to proceed. With the help of their management, though, they came up with a solution that would hopefully suffice. They’re moving to next year.
The event was meant to happen May 21 through the 25 this year, but with COVID-19’s rapid outbreak, this event seemed imminent to cancel. They did lay out what would happen to those who pre-registered for the event and booked a hotel room in the block for the event. If you pre-registered, your ticket will be instantly transferred to 2021’s FanimeCon register and you’ll be good to go. If you booked a room, your room will be dropped without any sort of penalty on your end.
