With Zack Snyder’s Justice League getting a release scheduled on HBO Max it seems to have reawaken other projects that looked dead in the water.
One of the new campaigns to pick up steam is #SaveDaredevil, which was made by fans who are petitioning for a fourth season of Daredevil. The hit show starred Charlie Cox, a blind defense attorney who also fights crime at night as a vigilante. The show was canned by Netflix in 2018 which led to the overall cancellation of the Netflix Defenders universe that included a lineup of shows including Luke Cage, The Punisher, and Jessica Jones.

The live-action rights to those show’s characters is approaching the end of a two-year freeze for Marvel Studios. Once it has passed the characters will be able to appear in upcoming MCU projects. With Marvel Studios now fully under the umbrella of Disney, fans are a little more hopeful Daredevil can follow in the Snyder Cut’s footsteps. The optimism is high among fans as of late, evidenced by this fan who created a interesting pic on Reddit:
#SaveDaredevil Campaign Gaining Steam
The movement has not stop going as Twitter users, who first organized the movement on the site, are continuing to push ahead. The #SaveDaredevil campaign and has even gotten some high-level support from actors such as Marvel star Tom Hiddleston and Charlie Cox himself.
It’s a pipe dream, but how special would it be for Charlie Cox to slip on the sunglasses once again? If his version of Daredevil was back, it could be a opportunity to crossover perhaps in the third Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland, or simply be able to name drop characters in the MCU on his own show. All of this is hypothetical of course.

The power of fandom has been a big key in the success of movie projects. Different projects that fans loved like Young Justice and Sonic the Hedgehog owes it success to fans standing up and getting the company’s attention. It led to DC Universe reviving Young Justice for its third season. While the design and re-edit of the Sonic the Hedgehog character for his first movie, can be traced to its blockbuster success.
