IMPACT Wrestling may be making a big reveal soon…
A few months ago, WWE released a number of talented men and women from their roster. Some of the names included Heath Slater, Rusev, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, and Hall of Famer Kurt Angle. Any longtime pro-wrestling fan will tell you, once a big talent leaves WWE, it’s not long until they find a new home elsewhere. History tells the story of Hulk Hogan jumping ship to WCW in June 1994, or the aforementioned appearing in TNA in December 2006.

Rumors that IMPACT Wrestling was planning to bring in a new big-name over to their team this summer surfaced a few weeks back. Moreover, vignettes showing hooded figures pouring what looks like whiskey into glasses has been airing for on the company’s weekly program for quite some time. With rumors running wild, the federation upped the ante this week and social media has been on fire with speculation.

On this week’s weekly IMPACT Wrestling show, Co-Executive Vice President of IMPACT Wrestling Scott D’Amore opened an envelope and delivered once line: “Slammiversary just got a lot more interesting.”

For those who have not been keeping up with IMPACT Slammiversary, the company’s Wrestlemania. The most-hyped and highly anticipated event of the year. Over the years, the event has produced classic moments featuring a who’s who of professional wrestling history. Everyone from AJ Styles to Christian to Sting to Mick Foley, has appeared on and participated in the annual happening. This year, the company hopes to re-establish themselves among the AEW’s and NJPW’s and WWE’s of the world by bringing in a former World Champion.
IMPACT Wrestling’s Big Reveal
Additionally, backstage producer and on-air talent D’Lo Brown recently appeared talking on the phone with an unknown individual. During the conversation, Brown said that he wants to get the gang back together, before revealing his old Aces & Eights leather cut.
Aces & Eights were a Vigilante Posse outlaw motorcycle club with members of the stable riding motorcycles and dominating programming for a number of months. The stable was supposed to be a modern-day NWO and featured prominent members like Bully Ray, Devon, Taz, and even MMA star Tito Ortiz.

With the rumor of a former World Champion returning and the tease of three whiskey glasses, many fans have guessed the team formerly known as The Club (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallow) will return with WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray or Eric Young, both free agents.Â
Regardless of who the big mystery name is, the Slammiversary card is set to be a rather impressive outing for the company. The current lineup features TNA World Champion Moose taking on the hardcore legend Tommy Dreamer and Knockouts Champion Jordynn Grace defending against former NXT star Deonna Purrazzo. Furthermore, the vacant IMPACT Heavyweight Championship will be decided when Ace Austin, Eddie Edwards, and Trey compete in a Fatal Four-Way match with the unnamed mystery signing.
