After a short teaser yesterday, Netflix officially released the first trailer for it’s original upcoming thriller, The Devil All The Time, starring Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson and many more.
The incredible cast includes: Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Bill Skarsgård, Jason Clarke, Sebastian Stan, Riley Keough, Eliza Scanlen, Haley Bennett and Mia Wasikowska. Directed and Co-written by Antonio Campos, the movie is based on the book with the same name by Donald Ray Pollock.
The Devil All The Time looks like a dark thriller, with great performances, while Tom Holland and Robert Pattinson seem to be the show-stealer. There already is major hype about Tom Holland’s performance and there’s already an iconic GIF of Robert Pattinson saying “Delusions.” Surely Netflix hopes that this movie will be an awards contender. Possibly in the Adapted Screenplay category or the SAG Ensemble and maybe even some performances, but I guess we have to wait and see.
The Devil All The Time Synopsis
In Knockemstiff, Ohio and its neighboring backwoods, sinister characters — an unholy preacher (Robert Pattinson), twisted couple (Jason Clarke and Riley Keough), and crooked sheriff (Sebastian Stan) — converge around young Arvin Russell (Tom Holland) as he fights the evil forces that threaten him and his family. Spanning the time between World War II and the Vietnam war, director Antonio Campos’ THE DEVIL ALL THE TIME renders a seductive and horrific landscape that pits the just against the corrupted.
The Devil All The Time is Rated R for violence, bloody/disturbing images, sexual content, graphic nudity, and language throughout and is hitting Netflix globally on September 16th.
