Hustlers star Keke Palmer has landed the villain role in an upcoming project from writer-director Jordan Peele.Â
While plot details and even the film’s title are shrouded in mystery, we previously reported that the film will co-star Daniel Kaluuya and now know the project has a release date of July 22, 2022. Jesse Plemons was offered a role, but he has to turn it down for Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon.

Keke Palmer’s Story So Far
Keke Palmer rose to prominence throughout the 2000’s in film and television roles, breaking out from 2006’s Akeelah and the Bee (which co-starred Laurence Fishburne and Angela Bassett) and spending the next several years appearing in video shorts and various television series including Nickelodeon’s True Jackson, VP from 2008-2011, the animated Winx Club from 2006-2014, Scream Queens in 2015, and the 2020 tv series Turnt Up With The Taylors among other roles.Â
Jordan Peele and Daniel Kaluuya became household names upon the release of Get Out in 2017, with Peele’s 2019 follow-up Us also scoring big with critics and audiences. You can catch Kaluuya in Judas and the Black Messiah on HBOMax through February 28, 2020 or in theaters. You can catch Palmer next in the upcoming drama Alice, which has no release date as of this writing.
