Sasha Calle Cast As New Supergirl For The Flash Movie

Sasha Calle, from The Young and the Restless, joins Andy Musichetti's The Flash movie as Supergirl.

Andy Muschietti, the director for DC’s upcoming Flash movie, posted a video on his Instagram page today revealing Sasha Calle as the brand new Supergirl.

The director started off the Zoom call by cheekily telling the actress, “I need to ask you, a couple more questions” and going on to ask “Can you fly?”

After showing the Superman costume in the Zoom call, Muschietti told Sasha Call, “You are Supergirl.” Her reaction to getting the role of Supergirl was so sweet, and she even asked the director, “Can I freak out for a second?”

You can just see in the video how excited she is to get this amazing role!

I loved the Supergirl TV show with Melissa Benoist playing Kara Danvers, but I am super (mind the pun!) excited to see what Sasha does with the role in the upcoming film.

This is starting to shape up to be an amazing film. As reported earlier last year, Michael Keaton will be reprising his role as Batman along with Ben Affleck. Ezra Miller is set to return as the Flash, and the movie is set to release in theatres in November of next year.
