Green Lantern: Finn Wittrock Cast As Guy Gardner in New HBO Max Series!

American Horror Story star Finn Wittrock has been cast as Guy Gardner in the upcoming Green Lantern series on HBO Max according to Deadline.

The series is being written by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Seth Grahame-Smith. Berlanti and Guggenheim previously worked on Green Lantern (2011) and are looking to redeem themselves from the theatrical flop.

Guy Gardner was a version of the Green Lantern character back in the 80s and was similar to that of John Walker/US Agent. Guy Gardner is kind of a jerk and wasn’t exactly a fan favorite. Hopefully, with this new series, they can really hone in on that like what Marvel did with John Walker in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Sometimes it’s good to have someone to root against.

Green Lantern will be an anthology series on HBO Max and will feature various Green Lanterns throughout time. With previous character descriptions we revealed back in November we know that Guy’s story will take place in the 80s, similarly to his comic book origins.

It is currently unknown if the Green Lanterns will interact with each other. However, if they do, Guy Gardner’s interaction with the other Green Lanterns is something I am definitely looking forward to.
