The Crunchyroll Anime Awards is almost upon us for its 6th year!

After a year of successful hit anime’s Crunchyroll announced their nominees for their upcoming Anime Awards show. This Crunchyroll Anime Awards will mark the company’s sixth time holding their annual ceremony. The company announced that this year’s awards show would honor fan-favorite series, characters, creators, and creators this past year on Anime. Additionally, Crunchyroll announced that this year would honor voice actors and actresses from more regions, languages, and other countries. Also, they said that voting for the Anime Awards is now open online. Online voting will start today, January 18, through January 15. Crunchyroll then revealed the date of the ceremony, which is February 9, 2022.

This year’s Crunchyroll Anime Awards have exciting lists of nominees. The categories of this year’s Anime Awards were also revealed along with the air date. These categories include Anime of the Year, Best Boy, Best Girl, Best Protagonist, Best Antagonist, Best Fight Scene, Best Director, Best Animation, Best Score, Best VA Performance (Japanese), Best VA Performance (English), Best Opening Sequence, Best Ending Sequence, Best Action, Best Comedy, Best Drama, Best Romance, Best Fantasy, Best Character Design, and Best Film. The categories also include awards for other international voice actors. These global voices include Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Castilian, and Russian. This is looking to be an exciting Anime Awards ceremony.

Crunchyroll is excited to announce the nominees for the sixth annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards, honoring fan-favorite and best-in-class anime series, characters, and creators across streaming. Voting is open now and nominees include the best and brightest in Japanese anime, representing nearly 40 anime studios across a record-high eight streaming platforms. The full list of nominees can be found here and below.

New for 2022, Crunchyroll is honoring voice actors across more regions and languages than ever before! Fans can now vote for their favorite voice actor for series dubbed in English, German, French, Portuguese, Spanish (Spain), and Spanish (Latin America), and Russian.

Fans are encouraged to vote on the Anime Awards website every day for their favorites starting today, Tuesday, January 18 through Tuesday, January 25 at 5:00 PM PST.

The winners of the 2022 Anime Awards will be revealed Wednesday, February 9, 2022 across the Anime Awards website and across Crunchyroll social channels. All winners will be chosen by global anime fans and a committee of international judges, who will cast a deciding vote in the event of a tie in any category.
