Sony just released a brand new poster Uncharted poster featuring Tom Holland’s Nathan Drake, this time him holding on for dear life.

The premiere of Sony Pictures Uncharted is only a few weeks away, and hype for the action-adventure film is at an all-time high. Uncharted is based on a highly successful video game franchise created by Naughty Dog and focuses on the adventures of protagonist Nathan Drake. Drake is beloved by the video game community because of his charming personality, confidence, wit, humor, intelligence, and heart. When Tom Holland was announced to play Nathan Drake in Sony Pictures Uncharted, the hype for the film grew. Publicity for Uncharted was magnified when the studio released the film’s recent trailers and promotional images. The studio has just released a new promotional image for the upcoming movie.

New Uncharted Poster

The new poster for Uncharted is very stunning and even looks like a video game cover. The poster features Holland’s Drake front and center, holding on a cargo box for dear life. The image also features the iconic plane action sequence featured in almost all promotional clips for the upcoming film. It seems that Sony Pictures is exciting the plane scene to be an essential and iconic scene for the film. As long-time fans of video games series know, the plane scene is on a level in Uncharted 3: Drake Deception.

The difference being, the plane sequence was over a desert in Yemen in the game, while in the film, its plane sequence is over an ocean supposedly on the coast of Spain. Besides Holland holding on to the cargo box, the burning plane, and its incredible imagery, the new poster is straightforward. However, its simpleness makes this promotional image stand out because it helps show the essence of Nathan Drake.

Overall the new Uncharted film poster is fantastic, and it’s a good thing they showcased the plane scene beloved by the fans. According to Holland from Sony’s recent special featurette, it’s also one of the most challenging scenes to film. So it’s not a huge surprise that Sony decided to showcase it this week ahead of its premiere. Hopefully, the film can be a touching and heartfelt tribute to Uncharted fans and Nathan Drake.
