I am proud to announce I am hosting my first Let’s Play Livestream, and it will be playing the Uncharted video games!
To celebrate the worldwide release of Sony Pictures’ upcoming film, we at the Illuminerdi will be doing a Let’s Play live stream of the first four mainline Uncharted games. The live stream event will also mark the first time The Illuminerdi hosts or conducts a Let’s Play. Running this first Let’s Play for The Illuminerdi will be an honor. Also, it will be a treat as I am a huge hard fan of the video game series. To watch the Let’s Play stream tune in to our official Twitch Channel tomorrow Friday, February 11th.
The Let’s Play will be shot and recorded in our official Studio. Watch as I play specific chapters from Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves, Drake’s Deception, and a Thief’s End tomorrow afternoon. The chapters or levels that I will attempt to complete are fan favorites and have nods to, or elements of, the upcoming film.
The Illuminerdi Plays Uncharted
The levels I will try to complete are Chapter 17: Stowaway (Drake’s Deception), Chapter 1: Rock and A Hard Place (Among Thieves) and Chapter 11: Hidden In Plain Sight (A Thief’s End), Chapter 22: A Thief’s End (A Thief’s End) and Chapter 19: Unwelcomed Guests (Drake’s Fortune). Additionally, I will be wearing my own Nathan Drake cosplay while playing these games. Hopefully, I can find my inner Nathan Drake and pay tribute to the video games series I grew to love. While also impressing my fellow Illuminerdi journalists. We will also introduce a unique alcohol concoction in honor of Uncharted star and Nathan Drake himself Tom Holland. So yes Alcohol will play a role during this Let’s Play Livestream.

The Uncharted games were pivotal to the success of the Playstation 3. The video game series also helped propel Naughty Dog’s reputation as an exceptionally respected game developer. The Uncharted games are a great series because of their story, characters, and gameplay. I hope our Let’s Play shows viewers how beautiful and unique these games are. For anyone who hasn’t played the games, all of them are available in the Uncharted: Thieves Collection for PS5. Hopefully, the upcoming Uncharted film will add to the legacy of the original video game series when it releases in theaters worldwide on February 18th.
The Journey Of Uncharted
Uncharted is one of gaming’s most successful video game franchises. The video game series was created by Amy Henning and developed by Naughty Dog. The series is acclaimed because of its excellent story, gameplay, writing, and characters. The franchise consists of four mainline games, a prequel, and two spin-offs. Those games are Golden Abyss, Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves, Drake’s Deception, A Thief’s End, Lost Legacy, and Fight For The Fortune. The mainline series focuses on protagonist Nathan Drake. Drake is beloved by many because of his charming personality, intellect, witty humor, and heart.
When Sony Pictures announced that they would develop an Uncharted film back in 2008, fans were excited. The film took years to develop. The reason for the film’s development hell because multiple cast members, writers, and directors were attached to the project on various points. Originally, filmmakers Travis Knight, Neil Burger, Seth Gordon, David O. Russell, Dan Trachtenberg, and Shawn Levy were initially signed to direct. The film also has undergone numerous script rewrites.
However, once the studio found its director, Ruben Fleischer, and their main star, Tom Holland, the film started its long-awaited production. The studio also cast Mark Wahlberg as Drake’s mentor Sully and Sophia Ali as Chloe Frazer, one of Drake’s love interests in the games. Antonio Banderas will play the film’s antagonist Moncada. The film focuses on Drake and his allies trying to find the lost gold of historic explorer Ferdinand Magellan.

The film focuses on Drake and his allies (Wahlberg and Ali) trying to find the lost gold of historic explorer Ferdinand Magellan. However, a ruthless treasure hunter (Banderas) and his mercenaries are also looking for the lost gold. The film will have many elements and nods to video games, especially A Thief’s End. The Uncharted film premieres next week, and we at The Illuminerdi are excited about its worldwide premiere. Tickets for Uncharted are available now.
