Mark your calendars for March 29th because SNEG just announced that the Gold Box Collection from Dungeon & Dragons is releasing on Steam. This is the perfect collection for people who love Dungeon & Dragons and PC RPGS, as well as for fans of retro style games.

The Gold Box series launched in 1988 with a variety of unique settings and challenges. Iconic for many reasons, these games helped launch Dungeons & Dragons into a new digital world. While also laying the groundwork for the multitude of CRPGS we have today. This series is not only exciting for veteran players, but opens the world for new players to connect.

“Even decades after their original release, the Gold Box games are seen by many as iconic Dungeon & Dragons digital experiences, and they practically defined computer RPGS,” said Oleg Klapovskiy, Director at SNEG. “Now, I’m overjoyed that we get to fulfill our dream of bringing these RPG gems back to pc gamers on Steam while introducing them to a new audience.”

While new and old fans will be able to explore all the high-fantasy worlds that await them, it seems many of the Dungeons & Dragons games are also leveling up. Enhancing the companion apps for Eye of The Beholder Series (All-Seeing Eye, along with the majority of the Gold Box Classics will help players manage dungeon mapping, provide easier access to journal entries, and provide easier access to spell books. Not to mention much more.

Plus players can expect a unified launcher, improved DOSBox support, and a tool for transferring parties of characters between games.
