Nickelodeon’s previously announced Transformers CG-animated series, titled Transformers: EarthSpark, is now confirmed for a global debut on the Paramount+ streaming service.

Paramount+ recently announced on the company’s official Twitter that the new show would premiere globally through the service starting in November. Along with the recent news, Paramount+ revealed a new short teaser clip with some new footage for the upcoming series.

The latest clip only offers a snippet of new footage and dialogue, but there’s a little bit of the Autobots in action, their new human friends, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Elita-1. Based on the released footage, there’s still not a significant sense of who the baddies are in the story, or which Decepticon enemies will be showing up in the series as of yet.

The new CG-animated Transformers: EarthSpark series is currently in the works, and it’s co-produced by Nickelodeon and Hasbro’s EntertainmentOne (eOne). eOne describes the show as an “action-comedy” series that will introduce a new generation of Transformers robots, specifically the first Transformers robots who are born on planet Earth. Together, they will forge a bond with the human family who welcomes them in and takes care of them, and through their relationships, they will redefine the meaning of family.

Previously, eOne announced that the CG-animated family show would be coming to Nickelodeon as well. But following today’s announcement, it appears unclear if it will only stream on Paramount+, or stream on the service and also air on Nickelodeon as well.

The new series is executive produced by Ant Ward (Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Nick’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012 veteran Ciro Nieli, and Nicole Dubuc (Transformers: Rescue Bots). The show is developed and co-executive produced by Dale Malinowski (Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). Nickelodeon Animation Studio is producing the show and is being developed for television by network Senior Vice President of Series Animation, Claudia Spinelli.

The production is being overseen by Current Series Vice President Conrad Montgomery for Nickelodeon. Meanwhile, VP of Original Content, Action Adventure Brands, Kari Rosenberg, is overseeing the show on behalf of eOne.

With the animated show launching on Paramount+ in November, Nickelodeon and eOne will be getting it out before the June 2023 premiere of the next upcoming Transformers live-action movie, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which is due out on June 9, 2023. So, it looks like the new animated series will already be in full swing by the time the new movie is finally released.

It looks like fans will still have to wait a while until the new voice cast is revealed for the series. Either way, considering the new CG-animated series on Paramount+, the upcoming live-action movie, and another animated theatrical feature that’s also in the works, it looks like fans will have a lot to look forward to with new projects starring their favorite Robots in Disguise, not to mention all the new Transformers action figures and products released by Hasbro.
