Life can change in a moment. All it takes is a second for a significant event to take place. It all happens in a flash. For Ezra Miller, life did just that a few days ago when the actor got into a heated altercation in Hilo, Hawaii.
According to the report, Miller was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment after they shouted obscenities at patrons and then later got physical with others. The actor, known for playing Barry Allen’s The Flash in the Justice League films – Snyder’s cut or otherwise – was given a restraining order from a Hawaii couple and was asked to “calm down several times to no avail” according to the news released by the police.

Days after the incident reports that executives at Warner Bros. held an emergency meeting to discuss Ezra Miller’s actions and their future regarding upcoming movies. According to a source, Miller’s participation in future projects was put on hold. This was apparently the final nail in the coffin as one insider revealed that the actor acted poorly during the shoot of The Flash with “frequent meltdowns”, also described as “losing it”.
EZRA MILLER GETTING A TASTE OF THEIR OWN MEDICINE?
If you’ve been keeping up with the DCEU then you might’ve heard that the upcoming The Flash movie, out in 2023, is set to completely change the landscape of the DC universe. Major names such as Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill are less and less likely to return to their previous roles. This could be the perfect opportunity for Warner Bros. to re-cast Barry Allen in the cinematic universe. Fans of the franchise already have the perfect replacement for Ezra Miller: Grant Gustin.
Best known as the CW’s Flash, Grant Gustin is a fan favorite when it comes to portraying the speedster. Ever since the news about Ezra’s behavior became public, fans voiced their opinion about casting Grant as the cinematic version of The Flash. Check out the Twitter posts below.
As a fan of the CW’s version of The Flash, I am 100% in sync with their wishes. I believe Grant Gustin would be a phenomenal choice. His existence was already established when his version of Barry Allen and Miller’s version of Barry Allen met up during the Crisis on Infinite Earths cross-over episodes. The clip of their encounter will be attached at the end of this post. It’s a really cool scene and it’s worth checking it out.
WHO IS THE BETTER FLASH?
Based on that scene, Grant Gustin’s Flash is much more experienced than Ezra Miller’s. Although the Justice League introduced an incredibly powerful foe, the Anti-Monitor, the villain of Crisis, is a much, much more powerful adversary than Darkseid. The Anti-Monitor is in fact responsible for the continuity of many of DC’s comic storylines thanks to his actions leading to the reset and erasure of many universes. Including the ones from the Arrowverse. If anything, Grant Gustin is the perfect candidate to play the cinematic version of The Flash. Let the man suit up for the big screen!

UPDATE: IGN has reported that a source within Warner Bros. refuted the emergency meeting and “no such emergency meeting took place.” Could everything be fine on the Ezra Miller front?
