It seems the Young Avengers are coming to the MCU with a number of team members already being introduced including Eli Bradley, Kate Bishop, Cassie Lang, most recently in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness America Chavez, as well as Billy and Tommy Maximoff. And while many of these characters are primed to become members of the Young Avengers Billy and Tommy are a bit trickier.
The Maximoff twins were initially created by Wanda in her reality warping Hex during WandaVision. After taking down the Hex and losing both Vision and their children she began searching the multiverse for them using the Darkhold. In Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness Wanda finds a version of herself happily raising Billy and Tommy on Earth 838.
However, before she can take them from the 838 Wanda she sees their fear and recognizes the monster she has become. 616 Wanda destroys the mountain temple that holds the last remains of the Darkhold, refusing to let anyone else be corrupted by it, and seemingly falls along with it. This leaves Earth 616 without a Billy and Tommy aka Wiccan and Speed to join the Young Avengers.
However, there is no way Marvel Studios would introduce these iconic members of the Young Avengers just to toss them aside. There are a few ways Billy and Tommy could make their spectacular return and join the young team of heroes in the future. An obvious possibility would be the continuation of the multiverse saga.

Based on the Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness post credit scene this is not the end of the multiverse in the MCU. This could be the perfect way to bring in new versions of Billy and Tommy to join the team either a version that audiences have not yet met or perhaps the 838 versions that were introduced in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.
DID DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS OPEN THE DOOR FOR THE YOUNG AVENGER COMIC BOOK ORIGINS OF BILLY AND TOMMY?
But perhaps a more intriguing possibility would be to pull from the source material itself with the Young Avengers comic origin of Billy and Tommy. In Marvel comics Scarlet Witch also created her twin boys with her reality warping abilities, and pieces of Mephisto, before they were destroyed. However, this was not the end of their story.
In the Young Avengers comics Billy and Tommy were reincarnated into the bodies of William “Billy” Kaplan and Thomas “Tommy” Sheperd. Raised separately the boys had an uncanny resemblance to each other and powers clearly reminiscent of Wanda and Pietro respectively.

Billy Kaplan and Tommy Shepherd are the reincarnated souls of Wanda’s sons, but in the bodies of teenagers which means the souls either traveled back through time to reincarnate in these bodies or took over the bodies of these children. Now, this possibility opens a ton of interesting potential stories. At the end of Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness Wanda appears to be destroyed by the collapse, but a burst of her magical energy is seen as the mountain comes down on top of her.
Wanda, being one of the most powerful beings in the multiverse, likely wasn’t destroyed, but the Darkhold energy and her grief could have impacted her magic. It would be interesting if this magic was tied to her memories of the souls she seemed to create in WandaVision.
This would be the perfect way to age up Billy and Tommy and introduce an element of mystery if the characters were to be recast as teenagers. This could also open the door to a key story for Billy and Tommy in the Young Avengers comics when they search for their mother and later helped her overcome her madness and grief when she learns of their existence.

There is also the question of how America Chavez would handle this development given the fact that the Scarlet Witch tried to kill her and steal her powers in order to reach her sons. Should Marvel take this approach in reintroducing these characters it sets up some thrilling possibilities and a ton of potential drama, mystery, tension, and comedy.
