For those playing Pokémon GO, the game’s in-game Halloween event will run toward the end of October 2022. Previous Halloween runs covered the second half of October and primarily focused on Ghost-, Dark-, and Poison-Types, with their encounter rates enhanced for the duration of the event. The odds for some of these pocket monsters such as Spinarak are also increased. In-game items such as avatar items, stickers, and bundles also become available for the duration, and will remain in the player’s possession once obtained. Any monster that makes its debut in this event, such as last year’s Galarian Slowking, will remain available even after the event ends.

But wait, there’s more!

Pokémon

During October 2022, The Pokemon TV App on mobile devices, the Nintendo Switch, and Pokemon.com will feature episodes from the long-running anime series, very likely ones that showcase Ghost- and Dark-Types. The first season’s “The Ghost of Maiden’s Peak” and “The Tower of Terror” come to mind. Surely, it will be a delightfully haunting trip down memory lane for longtime fans.

Starting on October 26 (PDT) and October 27 (JST), the 2021 MOBA game Pokemon UNITE will run an in-game Halloween event. More information on the event is to be announced.
