The show will be set five years after the events of Rogue One and be told in twenty-four episodes spanning two seasons. Each season will be twelve episodes long and cover specific events pertaining to Cassian Andor’s life.

Season one will cover the first year of Cassian Andor’s journey to the rebellion, while season two will cover the last four. Season two will be presented in “three episode blocks,” meaning that the show will be fast-forwarding one year after three episodes, with the series finale ending five minutes before the events of Rogue One starts to happen. At D23, Kathleen Kennedy described the show as a “twenty-four episode spy thriller” which was heavily inspired by Gilroy’s past in the Jason Bourne movies.

Additionally, new character posters for Cassian Andor, Bix Caleen (Adria Arjona), Syril (Kyle Soller), and Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly) were also released, which you can look at below.

The plot synopsis reads “In an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue, Cassian Andor will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a Rebel hero,” though sparse details on what the show will cover in the first season was revealed. We do know that fans should expect multiple surprises, but that the show will be more self-contained in its references to The Skywalker Saga, compared to The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi, which were heavily reliant on legacy characters and themes.

You can watch the full trailer below and stream the first three episodes of the show on September 21:
