NEED FOR SPEED UNBOUND OFFICIAL REVEAL TRAILER SHOWCASES A NEW GENERATION OF STREET RACING

In the latest installment of the Need for Speed series, developed by Criterion Games, players take the driver’s seat of their own street racing fantasy in a journey to outsmart cops and show that they have what it takes to win The Grand, the ultimate street racing challenge of Lakeshore. The game is due out as a multi-platform release later this December.

The upcoming game will feature a new graffiti art visual style, blending elements of street art with realistic-looking cars. Per EA, the game will have an “innovative” single-player campaign mode where players have to engage in the city of Lakeshore to race, collect, upgrade, and customize their vehicles as they race their way to the top.

In Need for Speed Unbound, players uncover the street racing scene of Lakeshore after a robbery at a family auto shop tears two friends apart. A rookie racer then goes on a journey to win the ultimate street race and gain back the car that was stolen from them.

Features for the game include the Burst Nitrous, which will reward players with a style-based boost based on how they drive. The players will also get more heat from the cops the more they raise. Players can try to outdrive or outsmart p9olice using various escape mechanics to earn bigger rewards or face bigger. Also, gamers will be able to customize their cars with hundreds of cosmetic items, including custom automotive gear, with a multitude of options to kit out their car.

The new game also features a genre-defying soundtrack, featuring artists such as artist, actor, and fashion icon A$AP Rocky, along with the world premiere of his new track “Sh*ttin’ Me,” which is also featured in the trailer. A$AP Rocky also appears in the game as the leader of Takeover Scene, a new playable precision driving mode that brings the Lakeshore community together to celebrate driving with style over speed.

Pre-orders have now launched for the game and will run through Nov. 29. EA also announced a pre-order bonus of an exclusive pack of Unbound content, including a driving effects pack, decals, license plate, banner artwork, stickers, and $150,000 Bank in their wallet when they first join the game’s multiplayer experience. Additionally, EA Play members will have access to play Need for Speed Unbound for a 10-hour early trial starting on Nov. 29 ahead of the game’s official launch in December.
