SASHEER ZAMATA JOINS GROWING CAST OF AGATHA: COVEN OF CHAOS
Details on the role Zamata is portraying are being kept under wraps. She joins the cast opposite Kathryn Hahn, who reprises her Emmy Award-nominated role as Agatha Harkness from last year’s acclaimed series, WandaVision. Aubrey Plaza has also been cast in the show, and Deadline reports she’s playing a “villainous” character.
Other cast members for the series include Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, and Emma Caufield Ford, who is reprising her role as Dottie from WandaVision. Deadline also notes that Ahn and Dizzia are said to be playing witches. WandaVision showed that Agatha Harkness has been alive for centuries. She was even once sentenced to death by her own coven for practicing dark magic.

It looks like the cast of Agatha: Coven of Chaos is coming along nicely. Hahn was certainly a scene-stealer with her performance in WandaVision, and the cast is growing with some other talented thespians. The show also has a lot of potential to explore deeper into the world of magic, mysticism, and the supernatural of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It will also be interesting to see where things pick up for Agatha Harkness following her fate at the end of WandaVision. Additionally, it’s comforting to see that Jack Schaeffer, who wrote WandaVision, is returning for this series. The series was an undoubted hit for Marvel and Disney+, earning 23 Primetime Emmy Award nominations and winning three, including one for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for the memorable theme song, “Agatha All Along.”
