Avataro Sentai Donbrothers Reveals New Story Details

New episodes of Super Sentai Donbrothers reveal new story details.

Origin of Donbrothers Powers

It was revealed in episode 33 that the Donbrothers’ powers are a product of the former Noto royal family. This royal family turns out to be The Don clan, who are the creators of the companion warrior powers, which were to activate for when Taro Momoi had fully awakened. This means that the Ranger’s powers were created specifically to help Taro, who survived after the Noto tried to wipe out the Don Clan. Questions relating to who the Don Clan are, have yet to be revealed, but Jiro Momotani is also a known member that escaped their fate the same way as Taro.

Incredibly, there is so much mystery involved in the 46th Sentai series and all these unanswered story additions are making sense. The Noto were expected to be common villains, but their characters and story surpass usual labeling. The Beastials add another layer of mystery and depth to the story, which highlights how amazing the work of Toshiki Inoue is as a Sentai series writer. With the complexity of a murder mystery novel, likely, the missing facts won’t be answered until the show is finished.

Jin Momoi in Prison for Raising Don Momotaro

In the most recent episode, it was revealed that Jin Momoi was imprisoned by the Noto for simply raising Don Momotaro. Jin found Taro as a baby when a peach capsule appeared in the human world. As punishment, he was placed in prison and charged to be a guardian of the border between the human and Noto worlds.

This border was originally usable by the Beastials to travel to the human world when they were created, but with the way guarded by Jin, they have found another method.

Mysteries that remain

There are some features of the show that have yet to be addressed. This includes what might be the final boss the Rangers will need to face in the show and the mysteries regarding Kaito and the Sentai Gears. The biggest question that has given hints but no clue is the reason why Kaito is a silent mentor in the story to begin with.

He often works behind the scenes and monitors the team, but he can also use his Zenkaiger gear and Changer to become Zenkaizer Black. So far, nothing has been revealed about how he became the admin for the Donbrothers and what has led to him working at the Café he owns, which is the same place as his grandma’s sweet shop.

Kaito has previously indirectly stated that he is the same Kaito from Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger during episode 26, which was in honor of the finale for Kamen Rider Revice. Hitotsuki also has been revealed to act like a form of spirit that inhabits any person that is warped by their desires. Hitotsuki are monsters that have Super Sentai relations and powers, which have become a threat to the Noto. Slow general information has been released in a recent episode, as Goseiger Hitotsuki possessed a man who was trying to lose weight but transferred to another after the original host lost his desire.

Hitotsuki origins have yet to be explained, but they likely have a link to the Sentai Gears, which they drop to Kaito when defeated before becoming Avataro Gears. This would explain why Zenkaiger’s Kaito is part of this series as Zenkaizer Black instead of the younger, high-spirited Zenkaizer in Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger. Certain used concepts have also yet to be, such as the points used for wishes and the Penguin Beastials, all linked to the possible final events. Only when closer to the final episode can the fans expect all the answers to these questions that have accumulated since the first episode.

Avataro Sentai Donbrothers episode 36 will air on the 13th of November in Japan. The show will continue into 2023 and will likely air the finale in February or March. The show will then hand off to Ohsama Sentai KingOhger, which will then begin as the 47th Sentai series.

Long time fan of Tokusatsu fan since Power Rangers was first released in the 90s. Whereas most Superhero fans grew up with DC Comics and Marvel, my childhood was surrounded by releases from Saban Entertainment such as Beetleborgs, along with anime, and other various fads of the generation. Anime is also a great passion with Digimon, That Time I Was Reincarnated As A Slime, and Demon Slayer being significant favorites. It was the love of both Power Rangers and Digimon that led to the path of becoming a Senior Writer for The Illuminerdi.
