The Illuminerdi can now exclusively reveal that Mucus and Slyther will be helping our color-coded heroes in human form throughout Power Rangers Cosmic Fury.

In both seasons of Power Rangers Dino Fury, Mucus and Slyther served as generals to Void Knight and later Santaura / Void Queen when they were a part of the Void Family. The Dino Fury Season two finale showed Mucus and Slyther opening a circus and literally gaining new life after the Power Rangers defeated Void Queen and her legions of Sporix Beasts.

Ranger fans saw Mucus and Slyther appear in human form periodically throughout Power Rangers Dino Fury. We now know that they will once again be appearing in human form throughout the course of Power Rangers Cosmic Fury.

Considering that Mucus and Slyther are both human now and that Void Queen has reverted back to being Santaura after her and Tarrick’s emotional reunion with their long-lost daughter Amelia, neither of them has any reason to be a menace to society anymore.

Then again, Mucus and Slyther weren’t really much of a menace in the first place, but one must wonder what would cause those two, out of all people, to come to the aid of Cosmic Fury Rangers.

The Illuminerdi now knows that Mucus and Slyther will show up at some point near the end of Power Rangers Cosmic Fury to aid the Rangers. However, it is unclear on how or why they will help the Rangers.

Perhaps they still view Santaura as their mother and have come to view Amelia as their sister. Perhaps that’s their reason for helping the rangers in Cosmic Fury. Perhaps whatever threat the Rangers face in addition to Zedd is so great they’ll need all the help they can get.

Whatever the reasoning is, we won’t know for certain until Power Rangers Cosmic Fury arrives on Netflix later this year.

Power Rangers Cosmic Fury stars Russell Curry as Zayto the Zenith Ranger, Hunter Deno as Amelia Jones the Red Ranger, Kai Moya as Ollie Akana the Blue Ranger, Tessa Rao as Izzy Garcia the Green Ranger, Chance Perez as Javi Garcia the Black Ranger, and Jordon Fite as Aiyon the Gold Ranger, Campbell Cooley as Slyther and Torum Heng as Mucus.
