The 29th Annual SAG Awards are just around the corner. That makes it the perfect time to predict this year’s winners in the Film categories.

The 2023 Awards Season is slowly coming to an end. The Producers Guild of America just crowned their winner with Everything Everywhere All at Once and the BAFTA’s also surprised with their winners. Now it’s time to take one last look at the nominees of the last televised ceremony before the Oscars.

The SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Awards are the first voter overlap between precursor awards and the Oscars. That means people that vote for the SAGs also vote for the Academy Awards. But as the name probably indicates the SAG Awards are only featuring acting categories: Five to be precise.

One of the most important awards is the SAG Ensemble Award, which in the past often decided who can succeed at the Oscars. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the final predictions for the SAG Awards Film categories:

SAG AWARDS FILM ENSEMBLE

Nominees: Everything Everywhere All at OnceThe Banshees of InisherinThe FablemansBabylonWomen Talking

Predicted Winner: One could almost call it a surprise if Everything Everywhere All at Once doesn’t win this important award.

ACTOR

Elvis

Nominees: Brendan Fraser – The Whale, Austin Butler – Elvis, Colin Farrell – The Banshees of Inisherin, Bill Nighy – Living, Adam Sandler – Hustle

Predicted Winner: After his surprising BAFTA win over Colin Farell, this award should go to Austin Butler making him the clear frontrunner for the Oscar.

ACTRESS

Everything Everywhere All at Once

Nominees: Michelle Yeoh – Everything Everywhere All at Once, Cate Blanchett – Tár, Danielle Deadwyler – Till, Ana De Armas – Blonde, Viola Davis – The Woman King

Predicted Winner: While Cate Blanchett seems like the safer pick, I just can’t bring myself to not predict Michelle Yeoh. I just still can’t see a world where she doesn’t end up winning.

SUPPORTING ACTOR

Everything Everywhere All At Once

Nominees: Ke Huy Quan – Everything Everywhere All at Once, Brendan Gleeson – The Banshees of Inisherin, Paul Dano – The Fablemans, Barry Keoghan – The Banshees of Inisherin, Eddie Redmayne – The Good Nurse

Predicted Winner: This will go to Ke Huy Quan even though Barry Keoghan surprisingly stopped Quan’s clear sweep with his BAFTA win.

SUPPORTING ACTRESS

BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER

Nominees: Angela Basset – Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Kerry Condon – The Banshees of Inisherin, Jamie Lee Curtis – Everything Everywhere All at Once, Hong Chau – The Whale, Stephanie Hsu – Everything Everywhere All at Once

Even though Kerry Condon just won the BAFTA which likely puts her in second place, I still think this is Angela Basset’s to lose.

STUNT ENSEMBLE

Top Gun: Maverick

Nominees: Avatar: The Way of WaterThe BatmanBlack Panther: Wakanda ForeverTop Gun: MaverickThe Woman King

Predicted Winner: This should be Top Gun: Maverick‘s award to lose.
