Power Rangers Lightning Collection Exclusive: Hasbro Adds The Red Wild Force Ranger Battlizer Form

The Red Wild Force Ranger will be coming to the Power Rangers Lightning Collection, donning the Red Savage Warrior armor.

The Illuminerdi can exclusively reveal that Cole, the Red Wild Force Ranger, will be coming to the Power Rangers Lightning Collection. Not only will we finally be getting the leader of the Wild Force Rangers in the line, but the figure will be in his Battlizer form.

The figure will be a part of the Lightning Collection deluxe line and will be priced at the standard $33.99 for the deluxe figures. Considering the additional armor pieces and accessories the figure will have to come with, this price point makes sense.

The Wild Force Red Lightning Collection figure was originally leaked by Josh Perry from @LightningFigPR back in September 2021. However, the original leak stated that the figure would be coming with a vehicle, similar to most of the other deluxe Ranger figures in the line. The Illuminerdi now knows that the figure will instead be a Battlized version of the Red Ranger from Power Rangers Wild Force.

We also have learned that the figure will not come with a civilian head sculpt like most other figures in the Lightning Collection. This is likely due to an incident in 2015 where the actor who played Cole, Ricardo Medina Jr., murdered his roommate with a katana. Medina was charged in 2016 with voluntary manslaughter and was sentenced to six years in prison.

The Story of the Power Rangers Wild Force Red Savage Warrior

Cole originally obtained the Animarium Armor in the episode “The Wings of Animaria.” He was able to obtain the armor after the other four Rangers solved a puzzle while trapped in the Dark Dimension. Cole also obtained the Falcon Summoner, which was used to summon the Red Falconzord.

Using the armor, Cole can turn into the Red Savage Warrior. The Red Savage Warrior powers give Cole wings that allow him to fly. He can also use the wings to fold into a shield and shoot energy blasts.

It is unclear if the figure will feature all of this functionality. If it does, this could be one of the greatest figures Hasbro has released as part of the Lightning Collection yet. Perhaps the armor can come in two pieces, one in wing form and one in shield form. However, it would be really cool if it could be included as one piece that transformed.

This release could potentially open the door for more Battlized Ranger figures in the future. There are plenty of forms Hasbro can choose from since Battlizers were introduced in the sixth season of the show, Power Rangers in Space, and were seen as recently as the 29th season, Power Rangers Dino Fury season 2. Regardless it is exciting to see it be introduced to the line with the Red Savage Warrior armor coming later this year.

Power Rangers Wild Force stars Ricardo Medina, Jr. as Cole Evans the Red Ranger, Alyson Sullivan as Taylor Earhardt the Yellow Ranger, Phillip Jeanmarie as Max Cooper the Blue Ranger, Jack Guzman as Danny Delgado the Black Ranger, Jessica Rey as Alyssa Enrilé the White Ranger, Phillip Andrew Merrick Baliton the Lunar Wolf Ranger, Ann Marie Crouch as Princess Sheyla, Ilia Volok as Master Org / Viktor Adler, Sin Wong as Toxica and Danny Wayne Stallcup as Jindrax.
