Part of the benefits of owning a copy of a movie, especially in physical form, are special features, but Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero missed the memo.
I need to preface this, this review has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the film. I love Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. It was one of my favorite movies last year. The return to glory for one of my all-time favorite characters in life, the glorious animation, and the highlighting of potential the franchise has is absolutely phenomenal. I was beyond hyped for the home release of the movie. But unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed. I have almost no nice things to say about the home release of the film, but please note it is only about the home release product, not the actual movie or the franchise in any way.

In defense of the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero home release, they did not mislead or oversell what would come with the release. Here is the official product description from Crunchyroll Home Video:

They start attacking Piccolo and Gohan… What is the New Red Ribbon Army’s objective? In the face of approaching danger, it is time to awaken, Super Hero!

- Promo Videos
That being said, 0 value has been added to owning the physical copy of the film. The 2022 special video doesn’t even get its own selectable section to activate. It is part of the Promo Videos. Also, it’s not very difficult to find online. So the home media adds no exclusive value to collecting. The box art is nice, but also not unique from the promotional art. There is no 4K option, despite having some of the best animation the franchise has ever had. There just isn’t anything noteworthy about the home media release.

If you are like me and have physical copies of the previous Dragon Ball Super home media films, then it is a must-have. However, if you just want to watch the movie, I recommend purchasing it digitally or signing up for a Starz subscription through Amazon, as it will be the cheapest option. Otherwise, there is absolutely no benefit from owning the home media version in terms of special features.
I give the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Home Media Release a 1/10, for basically just being the movie with 0 exclusively special features.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is now available digitally and on home media. Fans of the film who want Orange Piccolo and Gohan Beasts figures should pre-order them now on Premium Bandai before the window closes.
