A new clip has surfaced for the highly anticipated new Marvel Studios miniseries, Secret Invasion. Fans can now watch the first several minutes of the first episode of the series by going to a website to view an “encrypted file.” After reaching the website, they can watch the first five minutes of the show by entering the password “RSD3PX5N7S”.
SECRET INVASION REVEALS OPENING SCENE OF THE SERIES
The new sequence reveals the return of Martin Freeman as CIA agent Everett Ross, at least we seem to think it’s Everett Ross. In the footage, an individual by the name of Agent Prescod (Richard Dormer) is debriefing Ross on what he believes to be a massive, global conspiracy.

According to Prescod, recent overseas terrorist attacks are being enacted in secret by the Skrulls. Even though Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, and Nick Fury, promised to find the Skrulls a new planet, Prescod reveals that the Skrulls want to take Earth as their own. Now, the Skrulls are secretly causing terrorist attacks to destabilize the world governments.
Ross also reveals that Nick Fury is currently onboard an orbital space station called S.A.B.E.R., and he needs actual proof if he’s to bring Fury down to look in on this invasion. Additionally, Ross points out that the Skrulls are supposed to be our allies after their contact with Fury.
Prescod then hands Ross a holographic device with proof. According to him, it’s proof of a terrorist attack that could potentially set “the world on fire.” Ross observes it and agrees to take it to Fury, but he’s then tackled by Prescod. Does Prescod not trust Ross? Does he suspect Ross is a Skrull? Is Prescod the Skrull and just did this to lure Ross in and take him out? We’ll have to watch the actual series to be sure.
Overall the nature of these new rebel Skrulls, led by the rebel leader Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir), seems quite ominous. It’s also interesting that Everett Ross is present here considering the events of his last appearance in last year’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Based on his subplot in that film, it wouldn’t seem like Ross would be able to take any type of refuge in the United States Intelligence community any longer.

So maybe Ross is working strictly for Fury now? Then again, the United States Department of Damage Control knew that Fury was off-planet in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which was released in December 2021. Hopefully, Secret Invasion will offer some clarity on Everett Ross’ status in the MCU.
The long-awaited limited series is just around the corner. It debuts on June 21, and it will stream exclusively on the Disney+ streaming service.
