Seth Rollins’ role in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, Captain America: Brave New World, may have just been revealed.
Rollins is on top of the WWE as he is the current World Heavyweight champion. However, he isn’t some jabroni, he is Seth Freakin’ Rollins and decided to move outside of wrestling. What better thing to prove you are the man than acting in a MCU movie?
Seth Rollins Joins The MCU
This is exactly what Seth Rollins decided to do. Last month we saw him on the set of Captain America. However, we didn’t know what role he would be playing other than most likely being a villain and how important his role would be to the movie.

We may have finally gotten some details which may answer some questions. Rollins’ has finished his scenes for the movie so he won’t be in many scenes. According to insider CanWeGetSomeToast, Seth Rollins is playing a villain and a fairly important one. If the rumor is correct Rollins will be playing Cobra who is the sometime leader of The Serpent Society. Keep in mind this has not been confirmed by Marvel Studios.
The Serpent Society Is Coming
The Serpent Society is the goofiest bunch of villains you may ever see, but they are actually pretty dangerous. They are a group of criminals and mercenaries who have taken on the names of snakes and dress like them which is the silly part. Even though they are goofy looking they are some of the best organized, mostly united and successful coalitions of criminals in comics which is saying a lot because they tend to fall apart really fast.
The Serpent Society has fought some big names in Marvel comics including the X-Men and both Sam Wilson and Steve Rogers Captain America.
Cobra is the second leader of the Serpent Society and began calling himself King Cobra. There are two Cobras in Marvel, Klaus Voorhees who was a lab assistant working on a cure for venomous snake bites. Unfortunately or fortunately he was bitten by a radioactive cobra and exposed to the experimental anti-venom. This gave him superpowers. These powers include his bones being malleable, his muscles being tough and extremely flexible. This gives him the ability to squeeze in tight spaces, slither on the ground and is able to avoid most injuries.
The Other Cobra
The second Cobra is Klus’ nephew, Piet Voorhees, who injected himself with the same chemicals as his uncle and gained the same powers. Mostly likely Marvel will just combine them into one character.

Depending how close Marvel wants to get to the comics we could see Seth Rollins slithering around on the ground. Even though I would watch an entire movie with Rollins playing all the parts, Captain America: Brave New World does have other actors in it.
The Captain America 4 Cast Besides Seth Rollins
Anthony Mackie will reprise his role as Sam Wilson and will be the first time we will see him as Captain America on the big screen. Harrison Ford will play Thunderbolt Ross for the first time after the death of previous actor William Hurt, Liv Tyler reprise her role as his daughter Betty Ross, Tim Blake Nelson is back as Samuel Sterns aka The Leader. Danny Ramirez will play the new Falcon Joaquín Torres, Shira Haas as the mutant Sabra and Carl Lumbly reprising his role as the first black Captain America Isaiah Bradley.
The film will be directed by Julius Onah who is best known from The Cloverfield Paradox. It is written by Dalan Musson and Malcolm Spellman who wrote the The Falcon and the Winter Soldier show. The film will be in theaters next year, May 3, 2024, and Rollins will certainly burn it down on the movie screen.
Captain America: New World Order is set to release in theaters on May 3rd, 2024. Is Cobra the perfect role for Seth Rollins? Who else would you like to see Seth Rollins play if the rumor is wrong? Would you like to see him be a recurring character in the MCU? Let us know if you like seeing wrestlers do their finisher on screen.
