According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pop star and singer Madonna is currently recovering after a bacterial infection, which put her in the hospital and postponed her Celebration World Tour. Her manager and producer previously confirmed she was admitted to the ICU on June 24 for treatment of the infection, but it resulted in a pause of all her performing commitments.

You can view the statement Guy Oseary shared on Instagram regarding Madonna below:

According to Oseary, the music legend and superstar will make a full recovery, but she’s still receiving medical care. Oseary wrote on Madonna, “Her health is improving, however, she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.” He continued, “At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.”

Oseary added that more details will be shared as soon as they have them, “including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”

A source close to the popstar told CNN earlier this week that Madonna is currently “out of the ICU and recovering,” and she’s now reportedly “in the clear.” Additionally, she was transported back to her residence in New York City via a private ambulance. She’s now reportedly “resting” and “feeling better.”

There aren’t many details, but Madonna was in the hospital for several days after suffering a bacterial infection. CNN notes that after being discharged from the hospital, Madonna is “resting, feeling better and following doctors [sic] orders.”

Also, actress Debi Mazar, a longtime friend of the singer, wrote about the popstar on her own Instagram. She wrote, “To all of her fans-Madonna is on the mend & home resting!”

Madonna was recently in rehearsals for her latest music tour. It was scheduled to kick off in Canada about two weeks from now before she was hospitalized. The Celebration World Tour was previously announced in January. The video announcement featured Amy Schumer, Lil Wayne, Kate Berlant, Jack Black, Judd Apatow, Eric Andre, Diplo, and more. The video also paid tribute to her 1991 Blond Ambition World Tour and the documentary, Truth or Dare.

The new world tour was going to explore Madonna’s musical journey over the last four decades, and it was to run from July, starting in Vancouver, and then ending later in December in Amsterdam. It would have her performing in 35 cities across North America and Europe. The tour is set to be produced by Live Nation, featuring Bob the Drag Queen (Caldwell Tidicue).

Previously, Madonna had to undergo hip replacement surgery after suffering an injury during her Madame X tour. As a result, she had to cancel several dates for the tour in North America.

Madonna is still going strong and active in her career at 64 years old. Over the course of her career, she’s won seven Grammy Awards with 28 nominations. She’s also starred in a number of films, including the 1997 hit film, Evita, where she played the titular role. The film earned her a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical. In 2012, he earned another Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song in a motion picture for the track, “Masterpiece” in W.E.
